Patika Starr could best be described as a colorful chameleon of style because she effortlessly transforms to any occasion. She is an experienced fire performer, hooper,tribal dancer and has been active as a model, artist, event promoter, and spiritualist since 1997. She has additionally undergone many years of yoga training and is a certified aroma therapist. It is not possible to place her in one category because she is such a unique and multi-talented individual. It is obvious from her diverse style that her potential is endless.

Patika often creates local events to bring people together. Although themes may vary from glamorous lounge parties, unusual art fairs, and techno dance parties; there is always a multi-sensory atmosphere. It is one that includes a diversity of art, music, and visual effects aimed to inspire creativity in all people. At each one of these events Patika will make a stage appearance. These performances consist of Black Light performances and various forms of fire play including but not limited to poi spinning, fire masks, fire fans, hula hoop, fire fingers, fire belts, fire hoop and fire eating. She combines these theatrics with with aspects of belly dance and yoga. Patika connects everything she does with her inner spirituality, a theme that plays a major role throughout her life. Each of her performances are carried out as beautiful, entrancing rituals meant to captivate as well as inspire. Patika can be seen performing fire theatrics weekly at Much a Moroccan themed bar and restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina.


In addition to the energy she puts into the community art scene, Patika has also taken her talents along the East coast to perform at a variety of events: dance parties, tattoo conventions, outdoor festivals, weddings, corporate events, bar mitzvhahs, carnivals and fashion shows. For years she modeled in fashion shows for the New York based fashion designer, Garo Sparo. A highlight from this experience was the Alternative Fashion Week in New York City that was sponsored by Absolute Vodka. Most recently Patika helped bring to life Castle Carnevale a Venetian Costume ball, held on the grounds of Castle Mcculloch in Jamestown North Carolina. She worked a long side Richard Harris the visionary and his team to create the event. She also joined in performing there with the Asheville based group Djinntanna/Unifire. Patika is now the director of Triad Event Planners Inc, the production arm of Castle McCulloch.

The life Patika leads is one of continuous artistic adventure. In addition to the events she promotes and performs at, she she has helped start a spiritual group that has been meeting regularly for ten years. They get together for such things as chanting, drumming, gratitude circle and discussion. She has played extra parts in a variety of television commercials, music videos, has had numerous news appearances and has posed in many photo shoots. She appeared as a Go Go dancer in a Cabaret Act for a documentary on New York night life which aired on public broadcast in New York City. She made a film debut in two independent films. The first is Dance the Dream Awake, an artistic short film sponsored by UNESCO and the NC Film Foundation. The second is Vampires Anonymous, co-produced and written by Michael Keller, the assistant director of Deep Space 9 and American History X.

Patika starr is a unique, talented and ambitious person who is filled with energy and always looking towards her next endeavor. Her primary goal in life is to remain true to herself through artistic expression in all things and to inspire others to do the same.
